Quotes

Today I thought I would just post some quotes on my blog that I thought people might enjoy. It's been an interesting few months for some of my SUPER close friends, and a few others and I know they could use this.

1. "An original is ALWAYS worth more than a copy." -Uknown
2. "Today you're you, that is truer than true. No one could ever be youer than you." -Dr. Seuss
3. "Be an first-rate version of yourself, not a second-rate version of someone else." -Anonymous

Just remember: Everyone may not love you, or even like you but that doesn't give you a right to be rude, or insecure, or hold negative affirmations about yourself. YOU. ARE. BEAUTIFUL! :) The only one who needs to love you, is. YOU!

Self-Worth

"We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us and we love Him..." (Young Women Theme) and that is the most amazing thing that we can ever call ourselves. I know that Heavenly Father loves me. It's in the little everyday things. The sun through the window, a prayer making my day so much brighter, my day going well, having time to myself, a friend calling me just at the right time. When you think about it Heavenly Father loves everyone, unconditionally, and without question. I feel so secure, and so proud to be a daughter of God. There is no other thing that I would rather be called, or labeled as. Remember when we were little, and we would take flowers and rip the petals off saying "He loves me, He loves me not..."? When you think about it, Heavenly Father has no "He loves me not" petals. He loves EVERYONE, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, and throught ANYTHING. We are princesses because God is a King. We are heiresses to the most amazing, and richest kingdom ever heard of. Last night, at Relief Society/Laurel Conference Elder Uchtdorf talked about little forget-me-nots. How, everything little thing is still beautiful. More beautiful even than the bigger things. Remember, that you are a daugther/son of God, and that your worth is much more than rubies to Heavenly Father. He loves you unconditionally.

Life. Simple as that.

As little kids we revel in the adventure of life, as we grow older life become harder, more challenging. In high school we get made fun of our differences, our hair color, our size, shape, looks, our utter "weirdness", but we fail to see that the differences in each of us is what makes us so special. Life is a blessing, it's a chance to really find ourselves in ways we otherwise wouldn't. It's the oppurtunity to show the world and those in it that you're not afraid to be you. Being you is FABULOUS! Life is about being you, but also about helping others be who they are. Without question, or doubt. E.E. Cummings said "To nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." We are all different for a reason. Some can sing, and others are completly tone deaf, some can dance and some have two left feet, some can cook, and others can sew. We are here to be us, not anyone else. Embrace the wonderful person you are, and don't lower yourself to anyone elses mold. Fitting in, is SO last year. Standing out, is the new chic! As little kids we argue that we are the best, most skilled, most amazing person out there...why change that now? Don't. Being you=gorgeous. You know what I think the best things in life are? I'll tell you...I think that laughing so much you pee your pants is GOOD! Smiling so much you have those smile lines PERMANITLY on your face is GREAT! Having friends and family at your side is FABULOUS! But, being YOU ALL THE TIME...that is truly AMAZING! If you can do that, you can do anything. I mean it, and promise you that. Trust in yourself, and you'll truly understand what life is all about. Simple as that.

Little Sisters

I haven't really taken the time to notice until now, that sisters are literally your best friends. You argue with them, but you always make up. They teach you an amazing lesson about life. No matter how mad they get at you or vice versa they'll always forgive you. They help you realize the true you, the inner beauty that you hold in yourself. They can truly and easily make you feel proud to be you, and there is no greater feeling than that. Being happy with who you are is the first step in anything...life even. I don't know where I'll be in 5 years from now, but I sure do hope that my sisters are at my side for every moment of it. They truly and utterly help you to love anyone, and everyone. Even the stranger sitting in the car next to you at a red light, or the homeless man you just saw on the street. No matter how old or young, we have a divine love for everything some just hide it deep within. I am truly grateful for my sisters, but more than that I am grateful for the life I lead, and the people in it. It truly amazes me how selfless people can be when they take the time.
