Why girls' self-esteem is higher when they talk to a boy.

So as I was sitting at lunch the other day, Easton Brewer asks us, "Why are girl's self-esteem so much higher when they talk to boys?" I'd have to say that it just brings happiness to the soul. I mean, boys are attractive yea? Yes. So, when a boy wants to talk to us I suppose to feel that our level of self-worth, and our feeling of belonging really draws into focus. We spend most of our day talking with girls, gossiping and tearing other girl's self-esteem down, and when we talk to boys they tend to be...
A) Funnier
B) A LOT nicer
C) Not so judgmental
The list goes on and on and on.  So, in general I'd have to say that because we're talking to someone attractive, and they're making us laugh, and smile, and we know they're not going to judge us because of what we look like, or how we act just adds to the authenticity of self-esteem. It's just like when the boy you REALLY like comes up and talks to you-in fact, it's exactly like that-and immediately, you get happier, and there isn't a place you'd rather be right? Right. We find that the mere fact that a boy is talking to us is a compliment in and of it's self.

See, if that attractive face came and talked to you, would you not be happier, and your self-esteem not sky rocket? I think yes.
